Praise
“I’ve enjoyed working with Scott on several occasions. In addition to being an excellent sound engineer, I regard him as a very talented composer. Scott has a deep insight in various styles of music from classical to the most upfront electronic styles. He has a profound understanding of music and how it works on people. Also, he shows a professional attitude. I especially noticed his ability to deliver extremely high quality music for our sound products, and they were always delivered on time.”
Troels B. Folmann
British Academy Award winning composer. Troels’ recent video game scores include Tomb Raider Underworld and Tomb Raider Legend. Also, Troels has scored a variety of blockbuster trailers, including Valkyrie , Xmen 3, Spiderman 3, The Illusionist, 10.000 BC, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, Harry Potter 4, The Last Mimzy and over 30 other movie and video game trailers.
“We had the pleasure of working with Scott Leamon on our latest CD, entitled ‘Surface Serene’. Little Atlas wanted to self-produce our album (which we were permitted to do by our record label), but we quickly found that it was tremendously difficult to maintain objectivity in both the engineering aspects as well as arrangement production components of the album. Initially, Scott was hired as a recording and production consultant to serve as an objective, outside sounding board for our ideas. His input was so valuable, his insights so keen, and his feedback so clear, that much of our finished product bears his elegant touches. Additionally, we were so enamored with his skills, we asked him to produce and mix a bonus track for the CD called ‘Shine’.
Obviously, in the creative arts and music industry, there are many talented individuals. However, Scott brings much more than technical proficiency and creativity to his craft. He has genuine ‘people skills’, a keen ability to communicate clearly, and an innate respect for the art of creation.
Given the opportunity, we would (AND WILL) work with Scott in the future. Our CD, and indeed the future of our band, is much better off through his influence.”
