About Me

I’m constantly trying to push the envelope in aesthetics and content delivery methods. What propels me is the belief that you are only as good as your last work! ~Me

I was born and raised in a small town in northern Indiana. That is where my passion for music and media began. At age seven, I started playing guitar, an instrument that opened my world up to so many possibilities, and haven’t stopped since.

I’ve worked in myriad roles throughout Media Design since 1997 and have been exposed to just as many ways of thinking and creating for those specific genres. As a Senior User Experience Designer at Stamats, I created web designs, user-centric strategies and produced videos for North American higher education institutions. Also, I prepared and executed social media strategies for our clients and Stamats’ internal marketing channels. In addition to that, I also serve as an Assistant Producer for the documentary film company American Visions Group, both located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

My web design and interactive work has won numerous local and regional Addy awards in the ‘Gold’ and ‘Best of’ categories. And my work in documentary film has received acclaim from the Chicago Film Festival.

I studied music under former Mellencamp guitarist, Dave Parman, and political science at Vincennes University. Later, I attended Ball State University pursuing a double major in guitar performance/composition and psychology under the mentorship of Paul Reilly for guitar and Kevin Purrone for piano and composition. I’ve held positions as audio engineer/producer at Metro Studios of Cedar Rapids, Principle Multimedia Designer at Impulse Multimedia at Indianapolis and New Media Director at Guitar Institute, also of Indianapolis.

I’m a long-time member of American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) and also belong to the Game Audio Network Guild (GANG), Interaction Design Association (IxDA) and American Advertising Federation (AAF).

When I’m not exploring new ways of blending the world of new media and user experience into different concoctions or making my guitar sing, of course, I’m spending time with my family.
